ANSWER TO MYSTERY TECHNIQUE #3: Plastic wrap was pressed onto wet paint and manipulated to form patterns. After the paint dried, the plastic was removed.

ANSWER TO MYSTERY TECHNIQUE #2: a sheet of clear vinyl was placed on top of wet-in-wet watercolor and manipulated to create air bubbles; after the water evaporated, the vinyl was removed.
