Sneak Peek!

Here’s the first page of Spicebush Dreams, an origami book I’m creating as my entry for The Cabinet of Insect Dreams. Karen Anne Klein and Barrett Antony Klein have designed a special cabinet to house a library of artists’ books on this topic; it’ll be part of a Cabinet of Curiosities installation in Pleasant Ridge, Michigan. Can’t wait to see the catalog and find out what everyone else did!

This is the second page before folding; you’ll have to wait until next month to find out the end of the story!

Natural Abstractions and Spicebush Tales!

spicebush-tales-2016-elizabethsanford

Here’s my helper Charlotte inside Spicebush Tales, my traveling 6-foot forest cube; we had a great time helping people make pop-up bird books at the Bellevue Library! It was a pleasure to be part of the Tennessee Craft Week festivities. Look for the return of Spicebush Tales in the spring!

Interested in joining us for the Natural Abstractions workshop on Nov. 5 at Plaza Artist Materials? It’s almost full, so register soon if you want one of the last spots! Learn more here:

Hope you can join us for demonstrations and hand-on activities for all ages on Saturday, Oct. 8; I’ll be there with Spicebush Tales, a new version of my 6-foot cube. And on Thursday evening, Oct. 13, I’ll be back at the Bellevue Branch, taking part in an Artists Forum with  David and Patricia Earnhardt and Jennifer Knowles. Learn more here:
