ANSWER TO MYSTERY TECHNIQUE #32: First I partially wet the paper with a spray bottle; then I took a liner brush and painted a network of magenta lines across the page, adding a few blue ones before the paper dried.

ANSWER TO MYSTERY TECHNIQUE #31: First I applied a thick layer of Golden® crackle paste on 300 lb. watercolor paper. After it dried, I applied several this glazes of acrylic paint to emphasize the cracks.

ANSWER TO MYSTERY TECHNIQUE #30: First I partially wet the paper with a spray bottle. I then dropped a small amount of liquid yellow-orange onto the paper and directed its movement across the paper by blowing on it with a straw. After it dried, I added liquid red paint and also manipulated its path by blowing through a straw.
