ANSWER TO MYSTERY TECHNIQUE #16: I used a goose feather instead of a brush. Here’s a shot of the feather in action:
I installed some of my work at the Madison Library today; here’s a shot of the only 2 shelves I could reach without a ladder. The shelves are suspended on cables and sway when you touch them, so putting my exhibit up today was like playing Jenga with art!
Here’s the whole case. It’s like a little preview of my theme for the airport show next year. The show will be up through the end of November.

ANSWER TO MYSTERY TECHNIQUE #15: This is one of my samples from my Shakerag workshop with Dolph Smith. First I used PVA to adhere crumbled brown paper to a piece of mat board. After it dried, I applied 3 separate layers of milk paint: red, black and blue. After the blue dried, I lightly sanded it to reveal hints of the colors underneath.
