ANSWER TO MYSTERY TECHNIQUE #18: I blended a mixture of Winsor & Newton Granulation Medium, Hydrus watercolors and water on wet paper; when the paint started to lose its sheen, I sprayed it with water.

ANSWER TO MYSTERY TECHNIQUE #17: This is an example of multiple glazes. I began with a layer of yellow; after it dried, I added the pink in the sky. I painted each mountain as a separate glaze, allowing each to dry completely before adding the next one.
